Avondale, Arizona - Miguel "Mike" Samuel Moya, 83

March 21, 1943 - March 30, 2026

Miguel "Mike" Samuel Moya, born in Albuquerque, NM, passed away on March 30, 2026, in Avondale, Arizona. He was the beloved son of Cipriano and Amalia Moya.

At the age of three, Mike moved to Phoenix, where he attended Carl Hayden High School. He later relocated to Avondale. Mike married Socorro Pino on November 13, 1965. In his early years, he worked as a field worker before retiring from the Buckeye Union High School District as a groundskeeper. Mike had a passion for building and remodeling, often adding onto his home and keeping himself busy with various projects.

He is survived by his sister Rita Rodriguez and brother Leonardo Moya. Mike leaves behind his oldest twins, Michael and Mary Moya; son Eduardo Moya; daughter Anna Moya; and youngest son Marcos Moya. He was a proud grandfather to Michael Roan, Celeste Herrera, Elizabeth Moya, Cristina Quevedo, Anna Marie Robles, and Vincent Moya, as well as 15 great-grandchildren.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents Cipriano and Amalia Moya, his son Daniel Samuel Moya, and brothers Antonio Moya and Maximiliano Moya.

He will be deeply missed,but his spirit will endure in memories of those he touched
